Nicole Pangas grew up in northeast Ohio. She earned her BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She also attended the University of Illinois, Champaign and Lacoste School of the Arts, France. Nicole came to reside in Michigan in 1994; then as an artist in residence at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit.

Nicole’s work has been shown throughout the Detroit area, Champaign, IL, Cleveland, and Philadelphia. She has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Champaign Park District, IL and in Detroit at Pewabic Pottery, Your Heritage House, and The College for Creative Studies. Her work explores abstract image making through a variety of materials and methods including painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and clay. Nicole currently lives and works in Chelsea, Michigan.
